My name is Vanessa, joint owner of VRT. Creating art is what I love to do. I don’t consider that I have a specialism with art, except I find myself painting in acrylics mostly. However I use all sorts of materials, pastels, stitching and textile techniques, printing, watercolours and collage. I don’t consider that I have a constant subject matter, although the observation of the natural world around me keeps drawing me back I have taught Fine Art and Textiles for over 20 years, at adult, college and secondary school level. I have created many portraits as commissions also, both animal and human, some of whom are shown here on the website.
